Echo Star temari class with online video
Three detailed weekly lessons include instructions for four different temari:
- make a ball
- make a bell box for the core
- mark a simple 10 division (includes online video)
- stitch a 5-point star layered with other stars (include online video)
- decorate the obi area (includes online video)
- make a hanger for the top
- make a tassel for the bottom
- tips on techniques
- glossary of terms in English and Japanese
- patterns for three extra temari using the same stitches as Echo Star
Class fee includes:
- all lessons (44 page text that you download and print)
- online video you can watch to learn how to mark the simple 10 division, wrap the obi, and stitch the star

The kit includes enough supplies to make 4 temari (Echo Star and 3 smaller coordinating temari) with plenty of leftovers.... 4 cups rice hulls, 1 knee high stocking, 1 skein yarn (3 oz), 3 cones white overlock thread, paper strips for marking, 1 #3 Extra Long darner needle, 7 skeins DMC #5 pearl cotton thread, 1 card Nordic Gold metallic thread, 1 tape measure.
